Comprises a selection of over 60 articles that appeared in The Northern Miner under the heading 'Now and Then,' for about 12 years. Author is frequently asked if the wide variety of happenings he relates did really happen. Many did, some were suggested by friends and in tales, tall and short, told around the campfire, and some are the product of a slightly Walter Mitty complex, seasoned to taste. Effort has been made to recreate the nostalgia of a pioneering era which extended from his early days in the Nickel and Cobalt areas until his recent retirement. Variety of writings upon front and endpapers indicate (in jest?) this volume was on loan to the "Tide, B.C. library". Pocket mounted inside front board. However, no other library indications and book is not worn like a library volume. Dust jacket is structurally good but very faded. Book
