Dibdin's rare suppressed first separate publication, being preceded only by his contribution to the 'European Magazine'. Dibdin did not think much of his first effort as he emphatically stated in his 'Bibliomania' "I struck off 500 copies, and was glad to get rid of half of them as waste paper; the remaining half have been partly destroyed by my own hands...
