157 pages including index. Haida carvers on Canada's Pacific Coast have carved figures from black rock for about 150 years. The genesis of this book was when two dedicated collectors donated their works to the British Columbia Provincial Museum, thus assembling the largest and best collection of these carvings known to the Museum. The benefactors, Francis and Kathleen Reif, suggested that the Museum produce a well illustrated book as a definitive scholarly work on the black, Haida carvings. This volume is the result. Contains dozens of excellent black and white photographs plus extensive text and descriptions. Clean, bright and unmarked with zero wear. Book
