An anthology of sonnets philosophical dialogues and stories. Extremely scarce in the original paper wraps even more so with the glassine wrap. In the original French. Louis Menard is best remembered for his early discoveries on collodion. He wrote works on chemistry painting poetry and history. He also published translations under the pseudonym of L de Senneville. A lovely first edition of this important author's work. In the original paper wraps. Externally bright. The front wrap has detached from textblock. Chip to the top right edge of the front wrap. With original glassine dust wrapper. Dust wrapper has spot to the bottom. Internally binding is tender with some gatherings loosening due to binding type.
