One of only 250 copies of the Irish poet's debut solo book of poems printed for him and placed on sale at the Librairie Jeannette Monnier in Paris. <br /></p><p> The recipient the late Sonya Schulberg O'Sullivan was an author "They Cried a Little" and the younger sister of the late novelist and screenwriter Budd Schulberg. <br /></p><p> Brian Coffey 1905-1995 lived in Paris in the 1930s and was part of a circle of Irish Modernist authors that included Samuel Beckett and Denis Devlin. Coffey's "Three Poems" followed a book of poems that he published in Dublin in 1930 with Denis Devlin. <br /></p><p> Aside from a few limited editions signed copies of Coffey's works are scarce. <br /></p><p> CONDITION: Age toning to the wrappers a split along the spine although the wrappers are still attached a partial ring stain to the rear wrapper and some very light pencil underlinings and erasures.
