I was fortunate to know the late John Gardner very well and visited him on several occasions at his alms house in Basingstoke. On one of those visits John informed me that he probably only flat signed about half a dozen copies of this Hodder first edition which perhaps explains why signed copies of this movie novelisation so seldom appear on the market. Laid into this copy is a short un-signed note from John Gardner: "This edition of the Book-of-the-Film Goldeneye is unique in that you will not be able to buy it in stores.
