2005001119.2<p>A lovely first printing of the first Canadian edition Knopf Canada Toronto 2005 inscribed by author Kazuo Ishiguro directly on the title page. The book is in very good condition with a bump at the spine base a security tag covered by the rear flap pictured and wrinkles on pp 57-58 pictured. Despite this the book has a tight and square binding with no remainder marks and no owner inscriptions or highlighting. The dust jacket is in fine condition not price-clipped $34.95 with no creases chips or tears and absolutely minimal shelf wear. It is now protected by an archival cover which is easily removable. 2024339<p>Kazuo Ishiguro always wanted to be a singer-songwriter but when that didn't work out he took up writing novels. A Booker and Nobel Prize later he's now published the lyrics for some of the songs he wrote for jazz singer Stacey Kent which are beautifully illustrated by Bianca Bagnarelli. At an event at the South Bank Centre London in early 2024 Ishiguro Kent and Bagnarelli got together for to perform some of the songs and talk about the lyrics.and sign a few books.</p><p>This is one of a handful of copies signed by all 3 artists.
