'Between the Acts' revolves around a festival taking place in a small English village just before the outbreak of the Second World War. The novel a lot of which is written in verse describes the mounting performance and audience of a play the main attraction of the festival. Written by the Bloomsbury author Virginia Woolf a central figure of the literary group herself known for her experimental writings and affair with fellow author Vita Sackville-West. In the original blue cloth binding in the original unclipped dust wrapper. Externally in excellent condition with slight fading to the extremities. Minor bumping to the extremities. Dust wrapper is smart with chipping and slight loss to the extremities worse to the head of the spine. The odd mark and spot to the wrap. Internally firmly bound.
