A little light soiling slight creasing to title-page. Wrappers split at spine. A scarce little collection of verse mostly in address-and-answer format between ‘Valentine’ and various types: faithless lover gentleman miser coquette old batchelor etc. Various catalogues guess a date between 1798 and 1830 but BBTI puts the publisher’s active period at 1820-1826 and the printer George Smeeton at 139 St Martin’s Lane between 1808 and 1839. The Yale catalogue attributes the frontispiece to Isaac Cruikshank. Published by W. Perks unknown
