Binding gently cracked but holding. Black and white photo illustrations throughout. A story of Arctic exploration and life among the Eskimos written for children and centered around the adventures of Peary's 6 year old daughter Marie "Ahnighito." At rear laid in and pasted on are three news clippings spanning decades and relating to the Peary family: "Peary's Daughter Marries Mariner" "To Unveil Peary Memorial" dated in ink 1922 and "Peary's Grandson Killed" dated in ink 1946.
