Events included workshops on sexual harrassment women work and home plus films readings and more. Participants included Chris Williamson and Grace Paley among others. Poster designed by Nina & Gaby. In about very good condition with a small chip at the lower lefthand corner and a couple of short tears at edges. Poster has been rolled but could be flattened back out fairly readily. Advertising poster for the German feminist magazine Courage the image presumably reproducing the cover of the current issue. Contents feature articles on women in the military the feminist movement in Spain and the letters of Sylvia Plath. At bottom of image: "Jedefrau Braucht Courage / Ab sofort im Handel" Every woman needs courage from now on in work. 19791361Seattle 1979. Very good. Thirteen issues. Issues range from 8pp. to 16pp. first four printed on white paper the final nine issues printed on larger format newsprint. Some light wear and soiling. Thirteen issues of the second-wave feminist newspaper Pandora published in Seattle in the 1970s. Pandora ran from October 1971 to November 1979 and this run encompasses that range providing a look at the changes to the periodical over its history. It was published biweekly from 1971 to April 1974 moving to a monthly format with its May 1974 issue present here. The first issues from 1971 are printed on white copy paper shifting to newsprint with the issues for 1974 and later and the masthead changes several times over the course of the paper's run. Issues present here are as follows: For 1971 1:16 1:23 2:4 2:6; May July October and November 1974; May 1975; and January April June and August 1979.<br/><br/>Pandora billed itself as "a woman's paper about the efforts women are making to gain full first class status for women" with the goal of sharing information on women's issues of the day. There is significant content here about abortion and birth control prostitution women in the workplace feminist rallies and events lobbying in Washington and the final issue present has a front page story headlined "Lesbian/Gay Pride 1979." An important periodical documenting women's issues in the Pacific Northwest and the wider world. unknown books
