Goldstone- with his custom bookplate attached loosely to the front pastedown and pencil notations to the ffep. Goldstone along with his brother Adrian the Steinbeck bibliographer were collector's of the first magnitude with some of their recently auctioned books setting records. This copy is near fine with very few flaws---one corner is bumped and there is light rubbing to the cloth boards owner's gift inscription on ffep from 1886--but not much more. Top stained lightly faded. Tight clean and square with an unread feel to it. The author's first book with a very limited publishing amount 227 pp. 44 pp Scribner's ads. 2 blank pp. A wonderful copy. <br/> <br/> Scribners hardcover
