Terres was the editor of Audubon magazine for 12 years and here is a selection of essays from its pages most of them about wildlife. Nicely illustrated by Walter W. Ferguson. Notable contributors include Edward Way Teale who also wrote the foreword and Charlton Ogburn Jr. A great way to be introduced to some mid-century nature writers including a number of women. A very good book that's still tight but has foxing to cloth some stains to the top-stained green upper text block face.
