Leblebici Horhor (Horhor the Chickpea Seller) is an 1875 Turkish-language operetta by the Ottoman-Armenian composer Dikran Tchouhadjian. Leblebici Horhor is often claimed as the first original Turkish operetta, though Tchouhadjian's Arif'in Hilesi (Arif's Trick) was at least year earlier - it is reported in 1874. Tigran Tchoukhajian was an Armenian composer, conductor, public activist and the founder of the first opera institution in the Ottoman Empire. He is considered the first opera composer in Turkish history.

The color is worn out, especially on the front board, but this is still an attractive item. H.D. Justi (1834-1922) became a manufacturer of dental supplies and false teeth shortly after his arrival in the U.S. around 1850. He devised new molds that allowed a colored veneer to cover the Vulcan rubber base. He presented his method to the Orum and Armstrong Tooth Co. which promptly hired him. Justi soon became a partner in the firm and bought out his partners in 1864 to form the H.D. Justi Co. Justi's dental appliance company became nationally prominent. Before his inventions, porcelain teeth were hand crafted for each patient. His techniques turned it into a more standardized manufacturing process. He soon opened a new large manufacturing space and dental supply shop, and in 1886 they built a large factory at 32nd & Spring Garden in Philadelphia. He revolutionized the false teeth industry. (French: Tambouri Djemil Bey), (1873, Istanbul - July 28, 1916, Istanbul) was an Ottoman tambur, yayli tambur, kemençe, and lavta virtuoso and composer, who has greatly contributed to the taksim (taqsim), (improvisation on a makam / maqam) genre in Ottoman classical music. Ex-library with only few marks and stamps on the endpaper otherwise clean and tight inside, in excellent conditions throughout, hardly read. Comprehensive treatise on weighing machines in 3 volumes, vols I and II written by T J Metcalfe deal with the main subject and mechanical weighing machines; vol. III was written by E H Griffiths and deals with the applications of electricity and electronics to weighing machines. Both authors were Chief Inspectors of Weights and Measures. Profusely illustrated by diagrams, charts, tables and b/w pictures, vols I and II contain many folding plates showing in detail the various mechanisms. Heavy set, almost 2kg before packing.
