L'opera è formata da cinque tomi ed è completa sebbene risultino mancanti nel tomo secondo le pagine dalla 801 alla 832, nel tomo terzo dalla 65 alla 72. Risulta mancante la planche 25 del tomo secondo e la planche 25 del tomo quarto. Scritto in forma di romanzo storico Corelli descrive la storia di Casa Savoia a partire da Berengario II sino alle lotte risorgimentali e l'unità d'Italia del 1861. Presente anche una parte sul 1862 (Il Ministero Rattazzi Aspromonte) e gli anni 1862-63-64 (Ministero Farini Minghetti. Convenzione italo-franca). All'interno sono presenti 120 bellissime incisioni su acciaio disegnate da Masutti ed eseguite da Gandini, Buccinelli, Clerici, Santamarin, Caretti, Parmiani che mostra scene e ritratti tra cui Garibaldi, Conte di Cavour, Vittorio Emanuele II, Francesco II ecc.. In buone condizioni. Copertina in mezza tela con titolo in oro al dorso in ottime condizioni generali con lievi usure ai margini e dorso. Legatura in buone condizioni tranne le pagine dalla 719 alla 721 nel tomo primo in parte staccate. All'interno le pagine si presentano in buone condizioni con fioriture e qualche brunitura. Le pagine dalla 801 alla 832 e planche 25 del tomo secondo, dalla 65 alla 72 nel tomo terzo, planche 25 nel tomo quarto risultano mancanti. Tomo II: Occhietto in parte restaurato con macchie. Tomo III: Planche IV rifilata. Alcune planches presentano gore d'umidità e il legatore non ha seguito le indicazioni dell'editore per il corretto inserimento delle stesse nella legatura. Planche 25 in tome II and planche 25 in tome IV are missing Written in form of historical novel Corelli describes the history of Savoy house from King Berengario II until Risorgimento battles and unity of Italy of 1861. there is also a part aboutl 1862 (The ministery Rattazzi Aspromonte) and the years 1862-63-64 (Ministery Farini Minghetti. Inside there are 120 very beautiful engravings drawn by Masutti and engraved by Gandini, Buccinelli, Clerici, Santamarin, Caretti, Parmiani showing scenes and portarits between them Garibaldi, Conte di Cavour, Vittorio Emanuele II, Francesco II ecc... In good conditions. Half cloth cover with golden title in the spine in very good general conditions slightly worn in the edges and spine. Binding in good conditions apart for pages from 719 until 721 in first tome partially detached. Inside pages are in good conditions with foxings and some yellowings. Pages from 801 until 832 and planche 25 of tome II, from 65 until 72 in tome III, planche 25 in tome IV are missing. Tome II: First title page partially restored with stains. Tome III: Planche IV cut. Some planches have some humidity stains and the binder did not bound them in the correct way as indicated by editor.

18340010174Kingdom OF Sardinia. Good with no dust jacket. 1834. Ephemera. On offer is an interesting Royal Decree regarding the export of hemp seed in early 19th century Europe. This decree was issued in July 1834 by the Royal Office of Accounts of the Kingdom of Savoy. It deals with the export of hemp seed a grain crop that was traded on the grain markets across Europe. The decree says: Manifest de la royale chambre des comptes portant permission d'exporter le chenevis moyennant le payement d'un droit de sortie de six livres le quintal. Translation: Manifesto of the royal chamber of accounts bearing permission to export the hemp seed by paying an exit fee of six pounds per hundredweightThe decree goes on to say: Sa Majeste ayant ete informee que l'exportation du Chenevis dont la recolte dans ses Etats Royaux peut exceder la quantite necessaire pour les semailles serait avantageuse a la agriculture en ce qu'elle formerait un objet de commerce actif a l'etranger a daigne par son Billet Royal en date du 10 de ce mois Nous communiquer ses Determination Souveraines a cet egard et Nous charger de les porter a la connaissance du public par notre ManifesteTranslation: His Majesty having been informed that the export of Hemp Seed whose harvest in his Royal States may exceed the quantity necessary for sowing would be advantageous to agriculture in that it would form an object of active trade abroad deigns by his Royal Ticket dated the 10th of this month to communicate to us his Sovereign Determinations in this regard and to instruct us to bring them to the attention of the public by our Manifesto. Further it states: L'exportation de la semence du Chanvre sera desormais permise moyenannt le payment d'un droit de sortie de six livres la quintal Translation: Export of hemp seed will now be permitted subject to payment of an exit fee of six pounds per hundredweight. What this document hints at is a general liberalization in the Kingdom of Sardinia. Charles Albert reigned as King of Sardinia and Duke of Savoy between 1831 and 1849. Although a very conservative person he made efforts to modernize his Kingdom and this included reducing taxes on grain and a general liberalizing of commerce. Also at this time Giuseppe Mazzini was beginning to organize his drive to unite the many small states on the peninsula to form the country of Italy. The document measures 7.5 inches by 5.0 inches. It is a 4 page printed document with text printed on two pages. There is a little staining along the edges but nothing to interfere with text.
