Book has lightly bumped lower corners as the only flaw to blue/grey cloth HB covers. .Binding is solid and square, exterior shows no other blemishes, text/interior is marked occasionally wtih lines along margin, previous owner's name, note, at front. Dust jacket shows the slightest signs of shelf wear, 1/2" tear bottom front corner. Color photos, drawings, architectural illustrations, elevations floorplans throughout.

Prima edizione del 1860-1863 di questa interessante opera su Casa Savoia scritta da Pietro Corelli. L'opera è formata da cinque tomi ed è completa sebbene risultino mancanti nel tomo secondo le pagine dalla 801 alla 832, nel tomo terzo dalla 65 alla 72. Risulta mancante la planche 25 del tomo secondo e la planche 25 del tomo quarto. Scritto in forma di romanzo storico Corelli descrive la storia di Casa Savoia a partire da Berengario II sino alle lotte risorgimentali e l'unità d'Italia del 1861. Presente anche una parte sul 1862 (Il Ministero Rattazzi Aspromonte) e gli anni 1862-63-64 (Ministero Farini Minghetti. Convenzione italo-franca). All'interno sono presenti 120 bellissime incisioni su acciaio disegnate da Masutti ed eseguite da Gandini, Buccinelli, Clerici, Santamarin, Caretti, Parmiani che mostra scene e ritratti tra cui Garibaldi, Conte di Cavour, Vittorio Emanuele II, Francesco II ecc.. In buone condizioni. Copertina in mezza tela con titolo in oro al dorso in ottime condizioni generali con lievi usure ai margini e dorso. Legatura in buone condizioni tranne le pagine dalla 719 alla 721 nel tomo primo in parte staccate. All'interno le pagine si presentano in buone condizioni con fioriture e qualche brunitura. Le pagine dalla 801 alla 832 e planche 25 del tomo secondo, dalla 65 alla 72 nel tomo terzo, planche 25 nel tomo quarto risultano mancanti. Tomo II: Occhietto in parte restaurato con macchie. Tomo III: Planche IV rifilata. Alcune planches presentano gore d'umidità e il legatore non ha seguito le indicazioni dell'editore per il corretto inserimento delle stesse nella legatura. Planche 25 in tome II and planche 25 in tome IV are missing Written in form of historical novel Corelli describes the history of Savoy house from King Berengario II until Risorgimento battles and unity of Italy of 1861. there is also a part aboutl 1862 (The ministery Rattazzi Aspromonte) and the years 1862-63-64 (Ministery Farini Minghetti. Convenzione italo-franca). Inside there are 120 very beautiful engravings drawn by Masutti and engraved by Gandini, Buccinelli, Clerici, Santamarin, Caretti, Parmiani showing scenes and portarits between them Garibaldi, Conte di Cavour, Vittorio Emanuele II, Francesco II ecc... In good conditions. Half cloth cover with golden title in the spine in very good general conditions slightly worn in the edges and spine. Binding in good conditions apart for pages from 719 until 721 in first tome partially detached. Inside pages are in good conditions with foxings and some yellowings. Pages from 801 until 832 and planche 25 of tome II, from 65 until 72 in tome III, planche 25 in tome IV are missing. Tome II: First title page partially restored with stains. Tome III: Planche IV cut. Some planches have some humidity stains and the binder did not bound them in the correct way as indicated by editor.
Book is in excellent condition. Binding is solid and square, covers have sharp corners, exterior shows no blemishes, text/interior is clean and free of marking of any kind. Due grandi stampe (76 x 54 e 74 x 54 cm.) incise da Belmond su disegno di Francesco Martinez nell’occasione dei funerali di Maria Teresa di Lorena: le stampe rappresentano il duomo di Torino (pianta, spaccato e soffitto la prima, prospettive la seconda). La firma interna alle prospettive è Alfieri, del quale Martinez (che figura invece al margine, in entrambe le stampe) era collaboratore.
