Ces cliches nous offrent neanmoins la possibilite de reflechir sur les representations coloniales du siecle dernier, representations qui perdurent encore dans les stereotypes publicitaires ou sont la source de certains prejuges toujours actuels.

Czeschka and Berthold Löffler from 1913 on professor at the academy of performing art in Magdeburg Hamburg and Frankfurt. Creating postcards during the war was an easy affordable way to spread the news visually about the areas most affected by combat through images of ruins life in the camps and the cleanup efforts of soldiers and civilians. See the collection held by the Library of Virginia. The postcards are numbered & captioned on the verso. Slightly dusty overall very good condition. Schaar & Dathe unknown
