Per Dobke Books Multiples page 201 there were 1000 postcard sets printed each 120 loose cards 10.5 x 14.8 cm with wrapper. The cards are all in fine condition. The obi is present with this set but has been neatly severed in one place. Despite the seemingly large edition these sets rarely come to market these days especially in complete form. 193085443Seoul 1930. Near Fine. All are normal sized 9 x 14cm. Mostly consists of postcards from Japanese or Korean makers of Commercial postcards. One batch of 11 is in an envelope titled in English "Many Kinds of Picture Cards & Korean Products Just Fit for Present or Souvenir" and sold by Umiichi & Co. in Keijo Seoul. Another batch are in an envelope with a man wearing spectacles and a small-crowned top hat. leaning over the text. The envelopes may initially have contained more. The rest of the cards are loose. Cards captioned in varying combinations of English Korean and Japanese. Several of the loose cards seem to emphasize the quaint backwardness of Koreans; one features a semi-nude woman with the English caption of "To Chang sic Ones Clothes." <br/><br/> hardcover books

A group of 30 black and white Albertype-process postcards all with different images of this retreat-house monastery located in Garrison New York. Founded in 1898 the Society of Atonement is a Catholic Franciscan order that maintains various community outreach programs; their founder Rev. Father Paul James Francis Lewis T. Wattson is currently a candidate under review for saintly canonization. The cards have two copyright notices on their backs about half the cards with Ave Maria Hour and the Prayer of The Blessings of God's Poor Upon You printed in the stamp section; the others with the copyright of St. Anthony's Legion with the prayer of May Jesus Mary Joseph be With Us On Our Way. Images include Father Paul school the cloister walk Little Flower Friary living quarters pictures of the grounds landscaping statuary friars at prayer and play interior and exterior views of the buildings. All of the cards with short printed descriptions of the images on their reverse sides. Not dated; however the Fr. Paul card notes his death in 1940. Stanley A. Piltz was a California photographer and publisher of Mid-Century Modern graphic design and printed ephemera. Stanley A. Piltz Company San Francisco issued many Linen Type postcards from the 1930s to the 1950s depicting scenes of California especially of the San Francisco Bay Area and the 1939 Golden Gate International Exposition. They consisted primarily of scenic views city town civil and military infrastructures and national monuments views. Linen Type postcards were produced on paper with a high rag content which gave the postcard a fabric type look and feel. At the time this was a less expensive process. Along with advances in printing technique linen type cards allowed for very vibrant ink colors. Stanley Piltz pioneered the Linen Type postcards with his "Pictorial Wonderland Art Tone Series". Curt Teich was the most prominent and largest printer and publisher of Linen Type postcards based in Chicago. Stanley Piltz was one of most prominent publisher at the West Coast. All are addressed to Alfred Creutzberg handwritten in English or German on the verso except one where the handwriting is written in the photo border framing the girl's face with their original postage stamps and postmarks. Mr. Creutzberg must have been a known fan of the ladies as the singers and actresses his friends sent him include: Janet Alexander Reta Walter 2 but not duplicates Aenny Hindermann image a bit silvered prettily so Edna May Isabel Jay and Denise Orme. <br/><br/> unknown books

Sold here together are three identically sized offset lithograph postcards attributed to artist Louise Lawler one red one green and one yellow all with the words "It is something like" printed on one side and "Putting Words In Your Mouth" on the otherwise blank white verso of each card. Each card measures 6 1/2 x 4 1/4" tall. Each is in fine condition. As a bonus sold with this set is a fourth card same dimensions which is white on one side and steel grey on the other with the words "There Is No Writing On The Wall" printed on the white side.
