Extremities show rubbing and wear. The bottom part of the rear cover is quite stained and discolored. Small tears are visible on the head and tail of the spine. A name and date are penciled on the front free end paper. A few tiny spots of staining are present on p. 62. Interior pages are generally clean. A couple of tiny marginal tears pp. 5-8 are neatly sealed. Pages 97-98 contain two wood engraved illustrations "Jay J. Hartman spirit artist" with ghost and "test spirit photograph." Samuel Watson was an American Methodist minister and a believer in spiritualism. Contains chapters on "harmony of religions" "writing mediums" "materialization" "philosophy of spirit control" :Biblical history" "death or transition and what follows."
