The 1968 L88 Corvette was a limited production rocket and the new shape under Corvette Chief Engineer Zora Arkus-Duntov fixed the “aerodynamics of a bad airplane†of the C2 Corvette. The 1968 did not feature the Sting Ray or Stingray badging which would subsequently be continued through 1976 and was also the only year to feature the 15 in. by 6 in. tires.
