His network of correspondence included prominent figures like Carl Linnaeus underscoring his influence and standing in the scientific community. This edition is notable not only for its comprehensive depiction of local insect fauna but also for Panzer's scholarly contribution. The work is a valuable resource for entomologists and historians of natural science reflecting the meticulous observation and artistic skill of the period.Nissen ZBI 3629; Horn-Schenkling 19050 16731.
