Complete with errata leaf. The standard record of the regiment's service in the Great War in which eleven battalions were involved. Includes ROH, honours and decorations, MIDs, units and their COs, depots and POW funds 'Well above the average of regimental histories in interest. He has done his best to procure information from officers who served with the regiment to supplement the generally scant and laconic accounts of the war diaries' (Falls). The author served with this famous Canadian regiment throughout WWII. In 1940 it served briefly in France, returned to the UK for further training, landed in Sicily in July 1943, fought on the Italian mainland until early 1945 and then took part in the final battles for Germany.
