Previous owner's name and address on a front end paper. The board's edges and joints are mild to moderately rubbed with a small strip of leather pulled away on the rear board. Still an attractive binding of this piece of Napoleonana. Thought to be written by Baron Antoine-Henri Jomini. Jomini is considered a father of modern military strategy and was the only author of strategy taught at West Point before the Civil War.
