Uniek fotoboek, eigendom van het gemeentebestuur van Wommelgem, en samengesteld door de Duitse onderofficier Erich Pulm tijdens zijn verblijf in de Luftwaffe Werkstatt Antwerpen op Fort 2 te Wommelgem tussen 1 september 1941 en 4 september 1944.Foto's van verdwenen gebouwen en van het dagelijkse leven op het fort in die periode. Een inleiding door Willy Jacobs, geeft duiding bij de voornaamste merkwaardigheden. ich Pulm was Feldwebel bij de Luftwaffe toen hij op Fort 2 toekwam. Hij werd bevorderd tot Oberfeldwebel op 1/10/1942.Op 4/9/1944 verliet hij het fort met zijn eenheid en werd krijgsgevangene van de Amerikanen op 2/4/1945 in Hersfeld (Duitsland). Na meer dan een jaar verbleven te hebben in het kamp van Bazancourt bij Reims keerde hij terug in ziin woonplaats Wolffenbuttel in Duitsland op 27/9/1946
