Ten color plates of costume designs each 11 x 8 1/2 in. plus a single cover sheet 2 pp. on glossy paper listing the plates and accompanied by a brief biography of the artist and history of the Dallas Theater Center. The group is housed in its original cardboard portfolio with a glossy illustrated paper label laid down. Some scattered foxing to the introductory page and soiling to the box but plates clean and bright. These set and costume designs for the Dallas Theater Center were the Danish artist and designer Wiinblad's first theatrical designs for an American theater. He notes "For me 'The Tempest' is a wonderful story a fairy tale. in my sets and costumes I am inspired equally by the play and by the stage and room where the performance has to take place. to transfer the audience into another world."
