In the Foreword, dated 1939, he states "I convinced myself that human society is irresistibly and inevitably moving towards state capitalism and fascism. Further reflection also convinced me that this social transformation would inevitably bring upon the Jews great suffering. How could the Jews face this world situation? This question occupied my mind for the last twelve years. At last I reached the conclusion which I embodied in a program for the Jews. When the Jews declared war against Nazi Germany and fascism (in 1933), I saw that as a suicidal policy. Thus passed more than five years of ever-increasing suffering for the Jews. When the situation became so grave that the Jews themselves began to realize the gravity of the situation, the Spinoza Institute of America asked me to formulate my program." On page 199 he adds "We have to face the fact that the Leader of the German people has no doubt in his mind that the Jewish problem is the centre of all problems, not merely in Germany, but in the world. On April 14, the last day of the Holiday, László Endre & László Baky (German-installed heads of the Ministry of the Interior) and Eichmann made the official decision to deport all the Jews of Hungary. Published for German-Jewish refugees in Switzerland under the auspices of the Swiss Federation of Jewish Communities, founded in 1904 to help protect the general interest of Jews in Switzerland; during the second world war, the Federation helped support the refugee community in Switzerland: Prior to and during the Second World War, Switzerland gave refuge to about 23,000 Jewish refugees although the government decided that Switzerland would serve only as a country of transit. These Jews were protected during the Holocaust due to Swiss neutrality. The Jewish refugees, however, did not receive the financial support from the government that non-Jewish refugees received. Illustrated narrative by the artist and survivor Bernard Aldebert. Jean Bernard-Aldebert (1909-1974) was born in Saint-Etienne, and began his career as an illustrator for Le Pêle-Mêle in 1928. He was arrested and deported to the Gusan extermination camp in early 1944, after publishing a satirical drawing in Ric et Rac. His deportation was via Compiegne, KZ Buchenwald, KZ Mauthausen, KZ Gusen I to KZ Gusen II (Bergkristall-Esche II underground plant) . One of the very few survivors of Gusen, he captured his experiences during this ordeal in the album 'Chemin de Croix en 50 Stations', published by the Arthème Fayard group in 1946 (Lambiek Comicopedia, 2014) . Single sheet of stout card measuring approx. 4.5 x 7.5 inches (12.0 x 19.0 cms), obverse with gilt edges printed with the insignia of 'Admiral Inspector of the Fleet' in gilt and black and seasonal text in black; reverse blank, the whole housed in custom-made solander case. The seasonal text, SIGNED BY DONITZ IN BLUE INK , reads 'Grossadmiral Donitz dankt fur die guten Wunsche zum Weihachtsfest und zum neuen jahr und erwidert sie herzlich'. Grossadmiral Karl Donitz (1871-1980), German naval leader and Hitler's successor, commanded the Kriegsmarine during the latter half of WWII and is remembered particularly for his promotion of the U-boat offensive. He also served as Reichspraesident following Hitler's suicide in April 1945. Having authorised the German surrender he became a prisoner-of-war of the British and was sentenced to ten years' imprisonment for war crimes (primarily for ordering unrestricted submarine warfare). Following his release from Spandau in October 1956, Donitz's reputation underwent a degree of rehabilitation and he took considerable pains to answer correspondence and to provide autographs when required (including a facsimile for historians and collectors of the Articles of Surrender which he co-signed with Montgomery). HOWEVER, DOCUMENTS SIGNED BY DONITZ DURING THE WAR YEARS ARE SCARCE.

She provides details of the publishing and distribution history of Mein Kampf to-date, and possible reasons why its content has remained relatively unknown for so long by non-German speakers. In particular, she expresses her disdain for the 'severe expurgation' of the October 1933 English version entitled My Struggle. The following fourteen pages consist of quotes from a 1936 edition of Mein Kampf (which she refers to as the Nazi Bible) in which Hitler sets forth his views on foreign policy.
