181527901London: The Times 1815. This is an early reproduction of the famous Times 'Waterloo Edition' which ran to three printings as news of the battle victory came in on June 22 1815. There are four leaves folded and creased as illustrated with some browning and with small tears at the folds. The Times website notes the marks that authenticate an original printing and adds that there have been several commemorative printings. My copy is not an original but it is certainly an early copy. It came to me as part of a collection that included early 19th century Irish provincial newspapers so I would guess it is from the mid-19thC. Some clues: it does not have the 'Printed and published at'.etc Also the top of Page three reads 'Tuesday June 22 1815' instead of Thursday. The dimensions of the pages are 17.5 by 11 inches. Good/No Jacket. The Times, unknown
