Moxon's celebrated 'Monsoon' trilogy is a key work in the history of the war in the air in Burma. It tells the story of a young Hurricane pilot during and after the war. The first volume is autobiographical, and provides a first-hand illustrated account of service with 5 Squadron RAF in the Imphal Valley from 1944 onwards. The second and third volumes, through based on the author's experiences, are closer to fiction; the second giving an action-packed account of the war to the Japanese surrender, the third dealing with the reintegration of the survivors into peacetime civilian life. The complete trilogy is scarce, especially in the dustwrappers. Graham & Cole U45, V59, V58 respectively.
