052342Fort Dix: John H. Catterson. Circa 1945-46. Donald Ducks Disney style Huey Louie and Dewey in a few colors printed on the titled cover - they are holding an airplane and have a few tools in their hands. The blue covers shows wear and age. Most of the pages are marked Secret in typescript at the top They are mimeopgraphed pages and this is probably a mock-up to go for approval and censorship before being actually published. It seems as though this was never published. A section at the back has some members rememberances and are marked confidential in typeface at the top. The pages have the old mimeograph appearance and a signature is spring out some - all else is still tight. There are wine-stains on the front edge of the book and wear and stains on the back cover. All-in-all a rare probably unpublished work on the 1941-1945 era pesonnel and activities that took place with this 51st Air Service Squadron. None exist in the WorldCat and I can find no other copies or indications of its exitence. Further the history of the squadron in any form seems rare. Composed of several hundred pages - with each page only having one side. Seems comprehensive history by this squadron historian taken from diary official documents and his presence of being there. Has some b/w illustrations and copies of photos. . Fair. Soft cover. John H. Catterson paperback

Limbers as water carts'; the 10 motorcycles and two early motor vehicles are taken as read. Part of the date January is present: the signal squadrons were present in Mesopotamia from 1916 to 1918. unknown
