Fine.</p><p>Limited edition of 87 copies printed by Fridolf Johnson at The Mermaid Press.</p><p>The tribute lists printers "Gutenberg Jenson Caxton Aldus Estienne et al" and concludes: "Spiritual ancestors all whose greatest living successor you are." The 87th birthday tribute is dated May 14 1957 a week before Bruce Rogers died on May 21 1957.</p><p>Bruce Rogers 1870-1957 was an American typographer and type designer sometimes acclaimed as the greatest book designer of the twentieth century. Rogers was known for his "classical" style of design rejecting modernism never using asymmetrical arrangements rarely using sans serif type faces and favoring roman faces such as Caslon and his own Centaur.</p><p>Solomon R.
