Binding rubbed at spine; very good or better. A classic work apparently Stuart Mosher’s copy his last name is written on the title page’s upper-right corner. Frossard took the opportunity presented by his Jan. 3 1879 sale of the George Merritt collection to compile this work illustrating it with coins from Merritt’s collection as well as from that of Lorin G. Parmelee. The book is a good overview of both series and one of the earliest to deal with die varieties for dates past 1794.
