"During the Second World War Méry was commissioned by the Ministry of War to train dogs to spot enemy lines but also to pass messages. It will be a bitter failure. Having to join friends for dinner there was a knock on her door and a little bitch was brought to her ready to give birth and in bad shape. He decided to cancel his party to treat this little dog. His friends were part of the resistance and they were arrested the evening of the dinner where Fernand was to participate. Fernard Méry had another passion: writing. In the early 1920s he collaborated with the Troubadour where he wrote some short stories. He later became an animal journalist for major national dailies: France-Soir Point de vue . He was also on the radio for animal chronicles. He wrote many books on pets: Beasts and People in Front of Love His Majesty the Cat Our Friend the Dog Les Coulisses du monde animal . He received numerous awards for his works. " from Wikipedia . Editions Du Livre paperback
