First Edition Frontispiece photo of pupils at a missionary school in Zimbabwe. Original paper wraps. Staplebound. Starting in the mid-19th century there was a growing movement of international missionary trips for women who felt they had a special duty to Christianize other women who for cultural and societal reasons would not be able to hear the gospel from male missionaries. Most often female missionaries worked in educational capacities establishing schools abroad or worked in medical clinics as nurses and doctors. This report details various projects being done by women missionaries worldwide including medical work being done by Dr. Ruth Hume in India and updates on schools in Africa and Asia. Very good condition. unknown
