L’inchiesta doveva stabilire l’effettiva impotenza del marchese e decretare la nullità del matrimonio. Colorito insieme di testi che, in italiano, documenta la memoria giuridica del processo, con dettagli - non di rado espliciti - sull’intreccio fra vita coniugale, consumazione, nullità. This inquiry of the Sacra congregatione focused on the impotence of a XVIII century marquis, to establish if he could obtain the cancellation of his marriage. A pictoresque set of texts provides evidences for the trial, with details, sometimes explicit, about married life and divorce.
