br. In questo libro la protagonista è una sinistra più aggettivo qualificativo che soggetto. L'autore immagina le pagine come una piccola cassetta degli attrezzi, una bussola per orientarsi nel mare in burrasca di questo terremotato presente, uno strumento per interrogarsi sul livello di deprivazione emotiva che la nostra società ha raggiunto. Sulle dimensioni del deserto interiore che ci circonda. Il genere dell'opera è un saggio di analisi politica e di controinformazione. Lo spazio e il tempo dell'azione sono incentrati all'attualità del nostro paese, ma si dilatano a livello temporale dalla Rivoluzione Francese, al Socialismo del 21° Secolo che caratterizza i paesi dell'ALBA e spazia dall'Europa all'America Latina con frequenti incursioni nel medioriente, nel mondo arabo e nelle altre zone calde di cui quotidianamente ci parla la cronaca geopolitica. I suoi capitoli rappresentano una foto di gruppo dissacrante e irriverente di una fetta consistente del nuovo potere italiano. Questo libro parla della sinistra e lo fa senza peli sulla lingua, ne narra i ripetuti tradimenti, la viltà, il sistematico opportunismo dei suoi dirigenti ed autoproclamati leader. Dunque la peculiarità di questo saggio è che la sinistra diviene al tempo stesso la protagonista e l'antagonista di se stessa. Lo stile è asciutto ma evocativo. Il tempo verbale al presente, con alcuni salti temporali nel passato prossimo e remoto, aiuta l'autore a raccontare gli eventi in modo lineare e con una struttura colloquiale, senza ricercatezze superflue. La narrazione è immediata e il linguaggio diretto e comunicativo.
