Also in black ink is a small gift card is a charming drawing by Argus of a swiftly striding man above this note: "From a grateful/ HEALTHY PATIENT/ M.K. Argus/ M. Eisenstadt" in blue ink. The front endpaper has some offsetting from a newspaper clipping that has been laid in the cover edges are a bit sunned; the dust jacket has been laminated and internally tape repaired. Kunstlederband im Format 31 x 22 cm. Beschreibung und technische Anleitung der Argus Motoren Gesellschaft (gegründet 1901) für den von 1936 an entwickelten und 1938 fertiggestellten Flugmotor AS 410, von dem bis zum Ende des Zweiten Weltkriegs ca. 14.000 Stück gefertigt wurden. Der Hersteller Argus befand sich bis 1938 im Besitz des jüdischen Ingenieurs Moritz Strauss, der dann im Zuge der Arisierungen gezwungen wurde, das Unternehmen an die Junkers Flugzeug- und Motorenwerke zu verkaufen. Der Motor fand in verschiedenen FlugzeugtypenVerwendung, so unter anderem in der Focke-Wulf Fw 189 und der Henschel Hs 129. Enthalten sind 26 ganzseitigen Abbildungen und Graphiken, ferner liegen vier lose Tafeln zum Motorenlängsschnitt und Schmierstoffkreislauf bei. Der Inhalt gliedert sich in ein Kapitel zur Motorenmustertafel (I) und ein Kapital zur Motorenbeschreibung (II). Der Band entstammt dem Luftfahrt-Archiv Hafner und ist auf dem hinteren Vorsatz entsprechend gestempelt.
