According to the editor's design this work was to consist of seven volumes compiled from the best sources bringing the history down to Charles III 1759 but volumes IV-VII were never published. The title varies in volume III: Monarquia de España. Historia de la vida y hechos del inclito monarca amado y santo D. Felipe Tercero. Obra posthuma del maestro Gil Gonzalez Davila . Acompaña a esta segunda edición las <em>Dignidades de Castilla</em> escritas por el jurista Alonso Carrillo. Ejemplar con el papel tostado como es habitual portada con las esquinas restauradas sin afectar; segunda y tercera hojas con pequeña restauración antigua en el margen inferior sin afectar; dos últimas hojas con antigua restauración en el margen exterior afectando ligeramente. La segunda obra con una pequeña restauración del papel en la esquina inferior externa del folio 51 que ha afectado mÃnimamente al texto.
