VG/VG/1933 Edition. 1933 was an notable year for Georgia: Eugene Talmadge became govenor Atlanta Mayor Ivan Allen died the School of Home Ecomonics was created at the University of Georgia and the Civilian Conservation Corps came to the aid of thousands of Georgians in the grip of the Great Depression. As the title mentions this book was used as reference for mostly outstanding Atlanta businessmen in 1933. There is also a short history of Georgia starting in 1732 with Oglethrope's trip up the Savannah River. There is also a short history of Atlanta with statistics on business natural resources transporation railways and freight lines and goverment offices both state and federal. Some of the more prominent businessmen and business' listed are : James L. Wells and Sloan Paper Company R.J. Taylor Jr. and Lamar and Rankin Drug Company J.B. Dean and Cashier Brooke Tindall and CompanyStocks and Bonds and Mercer Lee International Harvester Company among others.
