Five sepia toned original photographic postcards of the Bennett College for Girls in Millbank Dutchess County New York a school founded in 1890 in Irvington New York which moved to this location in 1907. Its main building Halcyon Hall was built in 1893 by H. J. Davison Jr. a publisher from New York. Designed by James A. Ware it was meant to be a luxury hotel but the hotel never caught on. It served as a school into the late1970's and today lies in a state of disrepair. Near Fine the cards curled. Four of the cards are 9 1/2" w x 3 1/2" h the last 8 3/4" w x 3 1/2" h. . Postcard.
