Complete run of the Bulletin 1913 through 1962 issued irregularly 7 additional issues through 1980 41 total all booklets in variously colored stiff wraps. The issues from Vol. I No. 1 1913 through Vol. II No. 8 1946 are collectively bound into one volume black leatherette spine panel lettered in gilt; Vol. III No. 1 1947 through Vol. III No. 10 1956 are collectively bound into a second volume dark blue buckram spine panel lettered in gilt; the remainder Vol. IV Nos. 1-4 6 1959-62 1964 1968 1976-80 are loose as issued. All bound issues retain original wraps. Both hardcovers are minimally ex-library with call labels mounted on lower spines but did not circulate and thus show virtually no wear; the loose issues show minor shelf/handling wear. A rare opportunity to acquire the majority of this scarce historical run in virtually unused condition the bound issues exceptionally well preserved. Issues vary in length from 20 pp. to 170. The Bulletin was issued erratically over the years but we have collated volume and issue numbers to guarantee completeness please note that no volumes were issued between 1956 and 1959. Otherwise nicely intact interior though evidently slightly trimmed. Graded as Good-VG due less to defects than to rebound/trimmed status. Exceptionally scarce early guide in fact one of the earliest promotional publications that led to the emergence of Niagara Falls as the premiere natural tourist attraction it later became. J. Homes warns that St. Paul is no place to live: "I shall not give them much encouragement if they come here and must come on their own responsibilities. I know Jonas would not like it here and would soon get homesick and as it costs considerable to get here. I don't wish to be responsible for the uncertainty of their liking the country. I would not stay here were it not for making money. This country has many failings which are great detriments to it. Timber is very scarce and in some parts the soil is not good. A large portion of the land about this place is land that won't wear long. I think the best portion of this country is on Lake Superior. Some from this place are moving there now. February 23 unknown
