Quarter bound with a black cloth spine with gilt titling and decorated paper covered boards. No dust-jacket possibly as issued . The corners and edges of the paper boards are worn and rubbed particularly to the corners o/w the covers are clean ans sound - all hinges tight. Some pale spotting to the page fore-edges - negligible. Internally Excellent with NO Inscriptions or Marks. 171 pages PLUS 26 unpaginated pages of 'Art insets' which are mainly photo-illustrations with some captions/text printed on glossy paper and a couple of small line drawings in the text. Lacks I illustration near the end page 150 but I can see no sign of it having been removed Perhaps a printing error A very scarce original 1949 publication with the proceeds of the publication at that time going to the Ghandi Memorial Fund.
