Les constructions de chaque tsar ou impératrice (Pierre le Grand, Anna Ire, Elisabeth Ire, Catherine la Grande, Paul Ier, Alexandre Ier et Nicolas Ier, Alexandre II, Alexandre III, Nicolas II) sont analysées, décrites, révélées à travers le beau regard photographique d'Alexandre Orloff.
