This book is certainly not in very good condition but it is an extremely scarce copy of this book from one of the 19th century's most prominent music editors. Jenkins writes of an almost indebtedness to Edward Ruscha whose lack of sentimentality or emotion was an influence on many of the participants in the show. Includes black and white images by Adams Baltz the Bechers Deal Gohlke Nixon Schott Wessel and color images by Shore. Also includes biographical information about each artist. Issue number 10-68 of the May 13 1968 4-page labor brochure "Memo from Cope" promoting the candidacy of Hubert Horatio Humphrey nicknamed "3-H" by them. Penned in blue ink at the upper left is a bitter note by Spiro Agnew then Governor of Maryland addressed to his chief of staff Arthur J. Sohmer: "Art - Ask our labor friends why they're always able to go 'gung-ho' for some people but can't find a buck for others". Unsigned but penned in Agnew's hand. The brochure is folded for mailing with the mailing label addressed to "Hon S T Agnew" at the Governors Mansion Annapolis MD. There is minor soiling along the top edge of the brochure else near fine. <p>The brochure lists George Meany as Chairman.<p>Arthur J. Sohmer 1926-1991 was Chief-of-Staff to Vice President Spiro T. 100844<p>Fine. - Over 38 words penned on yellow 8-1/2 inch high by 8-1/2 inch wide ruled paper. Spiro Agnew humorously comments on his Chief-of-Staff Arthur Sohmer's extended lunches "When Arthur Sohmer went to lunch / The day was warm and bright / And everybody had a hunch / He might return sometime that night / But alas and alack / Arthur fell in the sack / And didn't awake 'til 'twas light". Agnew has crossed out a line above the last. Signed "Spiro T. Agnew". Near fine.</p><p>Spiro T. Agnew 1919-1996 served as Governor of Maryland from 1967 to 1969 when he was subsequently elected as Vice President under Richard Nixon serving from 1969 to 1973. In the midst of the Watergate Scandal Agnew was under investigation for Tax Fraud associated with brides he took while serving as Governor of Maryland. He pled guilty to tax evasion and was subsequently forced to resign his position as Vice President.</p>

Fine. - An original 9-3/4 inch high by 13-3/8 inch wide official White House photograph depicting nurses in their white uniforms seated in the front rows of the auditorium which reportedly hosted an audience of 10000 during Agnew's campaign tour in Memphis Tennessee. Nurses in the front row hold signs supporting the Vice President. "Official Photograph / The White House / Washington / 23SE70 4510-24" is stamped in blue on the verso with the annotation "Memphis Tenn / Sept. 22 1970" penned in ink below the stamp. There are but minor flaws. Near fine. <p>In an interesting side note when Agnew's campaign jet landed in Memphis Al Gore's father Democratic Senator Albert Gore Sr. of Tennessee made a surprise appearance elbowing his way into the Republican receiving line to greet the Vice President who was actually there to support Gore's rival Bill Brock who was not there.<p>In the midst of the Watergate scandal Nixon's Vice President Spiro T.
