This is the most desirable of the limited edition printings of The Real War with the leather binding and stated limitation. This book contends that the USSR and the United States have been engaged in WWIII since the end of WWII. Actions like allowing the Nazi regime to crush Polish Resistance movements and other "peaceful geopolitical actions" have served to advance the communist agenda in all areas of the world. The disgraced ex-President's umpteenth book this one pushing the thesis that "World War III has begun and we are losing it." It's not especially surprising that Stewart would have been on Nixon's celebrity presentation list he was of the Republican persuasion and no doubt a generous donor to the cause but other than normal shelfwear there's no real indication that he ever cracked this book open and attempted to absorb its contents jacket-blurb claims for it as "a strategy no thinking citizen can afford not to consider carefully" notwithstanding. Eisenstaedt accompanied the party as photographer. The issue of LIFE for 28 February 1955 carried a feature on 'The Muy Simpatico Mr. Nixon' with his photographs.<br/><br/>Two letters: the first dated 6 April reads "Mrs. Noxon and I greatly enjoyed having you with us and we both thought that the picture story in Life was outstanding in every way. I don't know when another trip will be scheduled but you can be sure that we would be delighted to have you with us again ."<br/><br/>The second dated 16 June reading in part ". thoughtful of you to send us so many of the colored slides you took on the Central American tour. . Swearingen the president of Standard Oil of Indiana and one of the most influential oil executives of the 20th century. When he became CEO in 1960 he deemed Indiana Standard Oil to be a "second-rate company." Through aggressive research and oil exploration Indiana Standard quickly became one of the most profitable companies in the United States. Swearingen was vocal about his dislike for federal regulators often supporting Republicans who shared his views on limited government. In retirement he was a close friend of presidents Gerald R.
