Handsomely inscribed and signed by the cartoonist in the year of publication on the title page in blue ballpoint: "To Doris and Felix Popper / Who's Mom is a real doll! / -- My warmest good wishes to you both / -- John Fischetti -- " Felix Popper 1908-2000 was a conductor with the New York City Opera his wife Doris born 1924 an opera singer with that same company.
