The internal binding is good no hinge issues. No other handwriting other than that from the author no bookplates no library markings. The inscription pictured is somewhat bizarre and almost seems a bit Hannibal Lecter-ish. The interior pages are toned due to age but are overall clean there is a few scattered smudge marks and foxing spots but these are minimal. Page 23 has a small crease in the upper outside corner. This book was originally published by Doubleday of which this one is stated first edition on the copyright page.
