This is an about very good hardcover copy in a very good dust jacket with some wear. Very clean inside and out. Some spotting to spine of jacket. Long ago released from a private library, but bearing no marks or numbers. There is a title label pasted on the spine of the jacket with the artists name handwritten on it. There is evidence of a bookplate or possibly pocket removal on the rear endpaper. Otherwise completely clean. Pale yellow silk pagemark present. Text in Russian. Three page summary and list of plates in English. Illustrated in color and black & white. Monograph on the Russian Jewish artist Anatoly L'vovich Kaplan (1902-1980). Born in the Jewish settlement of Pale, in Russia, he lived all his life in Russia, dying in Leningrad in 1980.
