Two small later paper repairs to verso of map else internally clean and crisp. Later armorial bookplate of Admiral Sir Graham E. Hamond to FEP with his inked ownership inscription to head of title page. The sole edition of an anonymous mid-eighteenth-century account of the defeat of the Spanish Armada. Sir Graham Eden Hamond 1779-1862 respected naval officer notable for his commands during the French Revolutionary and Napoleonic Wars. Following a distinguished career including a period serving as Commander-in-Chief South American Station Hamond attained the rank of Admiral of the Fleet.
