A scarce edition with only three complete sets in libraries. Jerome Petion was a French writer and politician who was the second Mayor of Paris between 1791 and 1792. Prior owner"s ink inscriptions to the title pages. In half calf bindings and marbled boards. Externally sound. There is some bumping to the heads and tails of the spines and to the extremities. The joints have some wear. There is some slight loss to the leather to the heads and tails of the spines and the extremities. The boards have some wear including marks and scratches.
