During this period he wrote a series of letters to his mistress Marie Thérèse de Monnier. These love letters were collected and published in this edition posthumously.Rebound in calf with endpapers renewed.Bookplate of Edward Alan Walker to the front pastedowns.These love letters were written between 1777 and 1780 at Vincennes.
